Todays sky looking west towards Thurso. A photo merge of 9 portrait shots. Original merged image size 9238 x 3114pixels (ISO 100, F6.3, 1/400sec, 24mm) Inspired by many of Ravens sky merges.

Lessons learnt - Use a tripod next time to even out the horizon line.;)

Just finished and posted the previous sky, looked out the window, and saw this one!! :Razz Same technique as previous image.

Sorry, I was in too much of a hurry to use a tripod so same mistakes as previous!! (also dashed out without a memory card in camera . . . . .) These skys change so quickly.

Hello Deemac, the second sky pic is really good, very strong colours and patterns. The first sky pic is great on the right hand side, but not very exciting on the LHS, a bit featureless. I would almost be tempted to loose the whole LHS of the photo (or photos that make up the LHS). Work on improving the RHS of the shot. These are only suggestions - I might be wrong, it's just how I see it.

Deemac, thought your second pic was great with the colours and what looked like a menacing spiral of smoke on the right - heck you even managed to get Nick O the North in middle bottom!! ;) Fab ! Keep them coming:)

I am flattered that I am so inspiring to so many folks on the org!
The second one is definately better in my opinion :-)
