High octane (http://forum.caithness.org/go.php?url=http://forum.caithness.org/member.php?u=3426),

[no pun intended]

I have just joined this agust forum - See caithness spiritual church thread.

Perhaps you would care to discuss the European Union?
my specialist subject. So Hitler got there in the long run?

Indeed he has, Sir.
My farther fought him in WW11 (and won BTW).
But the scourge of Europe has returned.

I have created a website which is spreading the words about the evils of the European Union.

What are YOU doing about it, Sir?

So Hitler got there in the long run?

Yup, it was a close race, TBH. He was challenged by Britain early on, who subsequently faded as Germany gained the advantage over ground. But then Germany - ridden by the top lebensraum stable jockey Hitler - suffered a major setback when Russia ridden by 'Papa Joe' (to his friends) Stalin came on with a sudden surge.

It was neck and neck up until nearly the end when late-starter America made up for lost time and came up on the inside. Hitler couldn't keep up the pace and came home behind the Big Three but in front of Italy.

The result was never disputed until the recent EU stewards enquiry, Germany was re-united after a successful appeal and was given joint first place in Europe with France - who was a non-starter in the original race.

Britain was re-placed into last position - behind Italy and a small pile of mud in the Mekong Delta.

America stated they didn't care what the EU decided, and that they probably wouldn't race in Europe again if invited to do so.

And what gents is exactly wrong with Europe?

Why should we not be in step with our near neighbours? Why should we be the 52nd state?

It scares me when people say "What is wrong with Europe?".
Let us start with democracy.
No-one can stand for election as an MEP unless they are in favour of the EU.
No-one is allowed to make anti-EU statements in Brussels or Strasbourg or their funding will be withdrawn. And no, your cannot use your own money.
That is actually irrelevant because you cannot do anything in Europe without the support of the Commissioners.
Who are the Commissioners?
Unelected, second rate, and generally failed politicians ie Peter Mandelson and Neil Kinnock.
Oh and Glynis Kinnock whose one contribution to the welfare of Britain is to have a picture removed from a Welsh rugby club because it was on loan from the National Gallery of Wales and as such was not accessible to the vast majority of Welsh people.
Where is it now?
On her husband's wall in his office in Brussels which is accessible by precisely two Welsh people. You got it, Glynis and Neil.
Who controls these Commissioners?
Good question, no-one at the moment. They are not responsible to the EU parliament, the EU electorate, not even governed by auditors as the twenty of them resigned in recent years because the auditors refused to ratify the EU's accounts for the fifteenth year in succession.
If they resigned why am I concerned? Because there is no process to replace them except by themselves voting theirselves back into office. Which is exactly what happened.
Try that on Monday morning. Resign because you disagree with some minion who has the audacity to question your expenses of £100 billion and then have a vote amongst your family as to whether you should be reinstated!
Peter Mandelson is responsible for 'competition'. He recently noted, or one of his multitude of scumbags did, that only one company imported bananas into the EU. So instead of asking any other companies if they would like a permit, (Yes you need a EU permit), he revoked then one company's licence while a review was undertaken.
This is developing into a rant, sorry.
One finally point though. The last time I was living in Scotland the SNP were campaigning to leave the Union and become a separate member of the EU.
Now I support the SNP in the main, but what is the point of ridding oneself of the yoke of Westminster to swap it for the yoke, leg irons, ball and chain etc of Brussels.

I QUOTE YOUR .sig : " The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is"

Indeed it is flump. I beseech you to examine the Truth.

"Why should we not be in step with our near neighbours?"
Because WE are SCOTTISH - At least I am. [born Glasgow circa last cent.]

If our neighbors decide to buy an SUV or start witch burning are we to do that to be in step?

I think not.

gillian17
26-Jan-08, 04:01
I quite like the idea of buying an SUV (I could do it with the £100,000 Gordon Brown has stolen from me, see different thread) and witch burning but I would not make it compulsory for everyone to like it.
Which (no pun) reminds me of a very old joke.
Come the Glorious Day comrade everyone shall drive a Rolls-Royce

gillian 17 you should be in bed at this a.m. getting a good nights
er ....sleep before attending your classes.
Home Economics?

gillian17
26-Jan-08, 04:19
I took Home Economics as a Sixth former many years ago. I also took PE at the same time and managed to convince everyone concerned that I was doing the opposite of what they were enquiring about.
ie PE teacher "Where were you on Friday afternoon?"
"Home Economics Sir"
Home Economics teacher, "Where were you on friday afternoon?"
"PE Miss"
I finished at 10:30am every Friday for two years.
I can still run a mile in five minutes and bake shortbread so what was the point!

" I finished at 10:30am every Friday for two years. "
Ah, a convincing liar. You will do well on the Forum

" I can still run a mile in five minutes and bake shortbread so what was the point!"

The mile I have no need of, shortbread is my favorite and I can
stand on my head [Yoga].

Anyway enough of the frivilous chit chat let us men get on with the serious business of the European Union.

Lets stop the European Union, illegal immigration and stem the flow of Johnny Foreigner, with his garlicy breath and weird non-Scottish sexual practices, [of which more later] and other elements flooding Scotland.

Good morning Gillian17. I trust you slept well. I slept fitfully dreaming of a lass running miles and miles, her long blond silky hair flowing in the wind as she carried shortbread to her beloved on the eastern battlefields of the European Union.

How did I know you are a man? Simple.
"I can still run a mile in five minutes "

No Lady would dream of running a mile.

gillian17

Some of the creeps I know, any girl would run five miles in the opposite direction ha ha.

If I was to suggest that the EU has helped bring over 60 years or peace and prosperity to Europe how would you answer?

And don't be pedantic and reply that the EU has not been around for the 60 years.

gillian17
26-Jan-08, 12:28
The UN has been around since 1919 and the Treaty of Versailles under the guise of UN and League of Nations but it has not stopped one war, not been effective in one war and has been a definite negative in recent wars ie Raping and pillaging in Rwanda and Sierra Leone.
The EU will not be a benign intervener in war, it will be the cause.
French foreign policy applied in the name of the EU?
Can anyone name a stable French, German or Belgium colony?
I know a number of Canadians follow this web site and to stave of their protestations I know Canada is reasonably stable. However, they have one of the most convoluted constitutions imaginable. Forget about Quebec but places like Manitoba have more native German speakers than French.
Prosperity? The UK will be a nett contributor of £5.8 billions a year soon up from £2.3 billions. Who voted for this? the populace? The Government? The Cabinet? All wrong. Anthony Blair in one of his last acts as Prime Minister. Thereby establishing his EU Presidential worthiness. Integrity, competence and fit for purpose count as nothing in the EU its all about how much money and ergo power one can bring to the trough called Brussels.
PS Freepress Not all matter is made of molecules some are monogamous atoms eg Argon.
Go on correct my mistakes and we shall all learn from it. Hopefully.

I know all about www.dorway.com (http://www.dorway.com/) The POISON in Diet Coke is ASPARTAME (http://www.dorway.com/) Aspartame is made up of three chemicals: Aspartic acid, phenylalanine, and METHANOL (http://www.answers.com/methanol).
Methanol is a colourless, toxic, flammable liquid, CH3OH, used as an ANTIFREEZE, a general solvent, a fuel, and a denaturant for ethyl alcohol.

I suspect Flumps contain mind rotting chemicals.
