Hi Miranda,

You might get on better using a 'lighter' mince such as turkey or chicken.

I find them infinitely preferable to the heavier beef, lamb or pork when making meatballs or burgers.:D

Hi heres a recipe that my neice created for Gordon Ramsays competition a while back and won one of his books. Ive put it on e org before

Chilli mince kebabs
Serves 2
Creator: Bobbikins
Its quick easy and better for you than a doner kebab!

Ingredients
125g mince steak
1/2tsp grated ginger
1/2fresh red chilli
2 shallots
1 garlic clove
1tbsp virgin olive oil
1tsp curry powder
1/2tsp turmeric
Satay sauce
2 chopped shallots
1tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1tsp harissa paste
Method Mix all the ingredients for kebabs together in a food processor until finely chopped and minced. Divide the mixture in portions and mould into sausage shape. Put onto a skewer and grill until cooked through. For the sauce, mix all ingredients together in heated pan until thickened. Pour over kebabs, and serve with rice.
