You might have read in the news today that Loganair, who are the biggest airline in the Highlands and Islands, are to rebrand as FlyBE, the low cost airline. It's not a takeover, just a partnership. This is because British Airways don't want other airlines flying under their name anymore.

I don't think this will mean cheap fares from Wick. FlyBE are one of the airlines that give you a cheap quote first, and then add extra upon extra on top. I think this will be the case when they take over the bookings for Loganair.

we found that when we flew someone to Inverness from Ireland it looked a really good price but doubled by the time all the taxes were stuck on :eek: very annoying.

think this has been on the cards for a while as ba were pulling out of the island contracts
