Here in Auld Reekie it's the most dismal, gloomy New Year's Day you could imagine.

It's not cold, but sooooooo very grey, a really leaden sky, and the thin drizzle of earlier has now turned into a steady downpour.... :(

What's it like where you are?

It's pretty grey and dull here in Aberdeen but seeing as I have no intention of leaving the couch, no biggie ;)

Same weather as Lincolnshire, here is Suffolk, but does not seem that cold! Fog/Mist maybe something to do with fireworks going off for the best part of the night.

Good old Gaelic word for Wick today: fliuch! (pronounced flooch, meaning wet!)

Sunny but cold here, a nice crisp day in Northern California. It's 40F now but when the sun gets higher, it might make 50. Would be nice to sit against a brick wall and soak up some warmth.
