Is there an Internet cafe (or similar) in Thurso? I am up here on holiday, and making occasional use of a relations pc. Amongst other things, I want to use my usb memory sticks (these don't work on their Win 98 pc, I need Windows XP). I am aware that there is Internet access at Thurso Library, but as a non-resident of the area, I am not a member.

I have had a look on this site and found the following:

http://www.caithness.org/links/internetfacilities.htm

One part says "not available for Email use by public as at 2002", so I am hoping for more up-to-date information. Using search engines, it suggested that various local hotels have Internet access, but presumably that is for people staying in the hotel rooms. I don't have laptop with me, so a wireless hotspot would be insufficient.

Unfortunately the latter is only Win98 so your USB drive won't work on it.
