View Full Version : Old Song
I am trying to remember the name of a disco song that people used to sit in a line and link arms facing opposite directions and then rock back and fore to dance. I think it would have been out in the late 70s or early 80s. I think it had foreign title but I can't remember what it was called. I can remember doing this dance (if you can call it a dance) at a junior disco in the Mercury (Norseman) Hotel probably in the early 80s. Can anyone remember the name of this song?

Thanks for your reply but that was not the song. It definitely had a foreign title and words but was in the UK charts.

The birdy song?????
No, not the Birdie Song either. Definitely a foreign title and for the dance you sat on the floor with your legs out in front of you with your arms linked to the people on each side of you who were sitting facing in the opposite direction doing the same moves.

Hmmmmm........
Sounds like a wierd experience.
Were any animals ritually killed during this, er, dance?
.
That is it. Plastic Bertrand. It is years since I've heard it. Thanks for the information. Yet again the message forums proves to be a brilliant source of information.

Was it 'Ca plan pour moi?'
Yes that was the song. I have attached a link to it below but it is not the same dance I remember everyone doing to it.
