There have been much talk about the fate of New Orleans which, for the large part, sits derelict.

There was an Ipsos-Reid poll that asked Americans about what should be done. Something like 55% of them said it should be demolished and rebuilt in a safer location.
Many people do not feel like living there is a good option.

Personally, I agree. I wouldn't be able to go back after all that and would opt to have it all reconstucted some where else. The cost of this is enormous but, it already is so.

It has been also been said that much of the buildings which are built in the below-sea level part are history due to the soil and the extreme wetness caused by floodings.

Question is: what do you all think should be done? Or, How do you think it is being handled?

I did not live there and perhaps my opinion does not count, but I believe that due to the earlier location where the town kept sinking it should be rebuilt on higher ground.
