Hiya folks,
I am currently compiling a family tree and have my family going back to 1796 to Wick (Frances Street) with an Alexander Reid born 1796 and Margaret Sutherland born 1801 also from Wick. Alexander was a cooper for an occupation.
They had 5 children, Hellen Reid born 1816, Diana Reid (Donaldina) born 1826 David Reid born 1831, Esther Reid born 1839 and lastly my ancestor James Reid born 1845 who grew up to be a baker in Edinburgh and married a Jane McPherson at Latheronwheel.
I understand Esther married a John Dunbar in 1861 and had a son Benjamin Dunbar in 1868 and some more children I think. Alexander Reid was my Great Great Great Grandfather.
I would be very interested in hearing any information or links regarding the Reid family to help me establish my tree.
