There's a white bearded gent called Santa Claus
The jolliest fellow there ever was
He's getting ready to ride on his sleigh
If you've been good, he'll be heading your way!
Be sure to leave him some cookies and milk
And hang up your stocking, but not made of silk
Make sure you're asleep when he comes to your house
He can hear the tip-toe of even a mouse!
When you wake in the morning, your gifts will be there
The colourful wrapping you'll excitedly tear
You'll play with your presents, be happy all day
As the stuffed Christmas turkey is cooking away.
Later on you'll eat dinner, a holiday meal
So many good treats that really appeal
You'll pull Christmas crackers, that hold a small toy
And colourful hats for each girl and boy.
After that you'll get sleepy, and watch some TV
As mum and dad drink a hot cup of tea
And before you know it, the day will have passed
That's Christmas Day over, it went by so fast!
