broadband - good news for some?

Just had a read of the caithness and sutherland action plan (http://www.caithness.org/regeneration/cness-nsutherland-action-plan.pdf) and despite having my cynical head on it appears there may be some mileage in some of the actions outlined.

At least one immediate benefit is that some exchanges which currently are restricted to the appalling 512k "broadband" service are being upgraded to proper ADSL by March next year. Be good if it actually happens.

Keiss, John O’Groats, Dunbeath, Forss,

be nice if they can get broadband to work out past reiss all my father can get is dial up, shame this isn't included in the upgrade
