I have a bookmark setup for it which searches for any threads with new posts. However one thing that I find really irritating is getting a whole list of new posts on the jokes forum - something which I never read, so now I've created myself a new bookmark which searches for all new post apart from the jokes forum.

http://forum.caithness.org/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=71
(this omits the jokes)


If you want to run searches excluding particular forums simply add the forum number after the equals sign. More than one you wish to exclude just separate the numbers by commas.

for example
http://forum.caithness.org/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=71,77
(this omits jokes and pets corner)

Can't get the links to work in vBulletin, so just cut and paste into your browser and they should work (if you want to!)

You're close, but the kittens are only there in case I fancy a light snack, and the only resemblance to a drain ain't the laugh:eek:

I came up with some similar coding which removed all threads posted by complete idiots.

Unfortunately, I now appear to have lost all my own posts........:~(

I use to listen to people winge about any new developements, incomers, windfarms, weather, roads, christmas lights, neds in cars......


....you get the idea.

It would waste too much of my life to reply to all the pointless NIMBY posts on this board.

But isnt that the point of a forum? To express views and opinions ?
