Just seen on the SRU website (http://www.scottishrugby.org/sru/pro-rugby/fixtures-and-results.cfm?tid=11541F4E-DBA5-DE7B-A00F-FE675B3548B3&cid=16CC645F-06A1-C0D5-3ADE-E1B74F777AC7) that Caithness RFC have won their 3rd match in a row, and are now the only team not to have lost a match. In a local derby they beat Highland by 17 to 5 at Millbank.

Well impressive I'd say. Go Greens!

Another visit to the SRU website this morning shows that CRFC took the honours yesterday for the biggest win in Round 1 of the BT Cup. They trashed Jordanhill at their own ground by 123 points to 0 - Ouch!

However it doesn't quite beat the Club record which was a whopping 132 - 0 win over Banff in Feb 2003.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but, if you look at the League table, they've not been letting much past them this season either - only conceeding 42 points, while the other teams are 65 and (much) more.

Touching wood & crossing fingers etc. they've made a cracking start to the season - 4 wins out of 5 in the League & a great start to their Cup hopes. Now we'll just have to wait and see who they get in R2 - hopefully a Home tie so the local support can cheer them on!

Keep it going Colin & Co!

2nd place in the league with 6 league games now won out of 7 played - a feat matched only by league leaders Falkirk. Funnily enough it was Caithness who were the only team to have beaten them!.

Next week they're home against Lismore so let's keep them going with some solid home support.

Without wanting to bore everyone I just thought I'd report yet another win (yawn!) for Caithness RFC. Yes I know it's getting monotinous but HEY they're representing the county and doing a darn good job of it.

The teams from the south must be gobsmacked at the quality of play from such a small remote area. Some of the reports back from opposition coaches are very complimentary(if a little grudgingly) to the side.

Still in 2nd place (Falkirk also doing very well in 1st place considering both teams were only promoted this season) but with a widening gap between 2nd & 3rd. Almost half way through the season things are looking good very good for Colin & co - MORE OF THE SAME PLEASE!
