I have just been watching what i think is a partial Albino Blackbird. I managed to photograph it poor quality unfortunately. Has anybody got any information?

Could be - albinism is common amongst birds. Once saw an almost all white blackbird. There are a couple of species about the right size that are black and white, though - mostly from the Continent.

I saw a white pheasant once. It was the weirdest thing.

Does it look sort of like this, as this is one.

Yes, its head is the same but does not have the spots on body. It is still here I think it has paired up with a female.

White Peacocks are quite common over here, a friend of mine breeds them.

Wow Lolabelle I thought they were quite unusual - actually never knew they existed until I saw them there.

I have a blackbird that's going grey on top - sort of spotty.

We have a young male blackbird that we feed regularly and he has a white strip on his throat, thought he had his scarf on when we first seen him:lol:

Can you check that your Blackbird with the white stripe on the throat is not a Ring Ouzel? They should not be here at this time of the year, but there have just been 14 Common Cranes in Caithness and they should be in southern Europe, so I suppose anything can happen!
