On MSN News there is a story about " Ashera " cats, a newly achieved breed
that is on the market for £11k a kitten !
They're part African Serval , Asian leopard and housecat.
They grow to 40lbs and live 25Yrs.
A friendly and outgoing breed it says .

What is the point of them except being the next "handbag dog " of celebrities.
It doesn't look like they will have a good ( animal - type ) life.

What do you think ?

And NO.......cats are not cute little babies.............They are AN...IM...ALS..

at 40 lbs they certainly wont be going in any handbag  that is awfully big, I do hope the breeders have had the sense to ensure that all and every bit of wild has been bred out of these generations ago before they go on sale

beautiful yes but also very scary, bengals can be a bit unpredictable as it is, and they also come from the asian leopard cat and are far more advanced in their hybrid breeding plan, so if a cat this large were to turn on a small child it really doesn't bare thinking about  I had a bengal I had to rehome as every time my daughter came in with even the slightest smell of another animal on her he would attack her legs quite badly, one of those doing that is a terrifying thought.

I liked this particular quote from the above story... "They have a great temperament, they love children and will be all over you."

You had better hope it has a great temperament, it loves kids but can't quite eat a whole one, it could possibly be all over you, spreadeagled that is with a bunch of claws in each limb! Imagine the size of it's litter tray, you would not be able to let that thing outside!

I'm not really a cat lover, quite allergic to them but I have to say that these do look quite nice.
