Died anyone watch this programme last night? What a decision for a surgeon to make.Although the rest of her was missing, the other soul had a brain, reflexes and emotion. The things mother nature can get wrong

I read the article, it seems so sad...how awful for the child and her parents.

I wonder what we, as parents, would do in the same situation.

I too watched this documentary, quite a moral dilemma but the whole twin simply would not have survived if remained conjoined with the other, she had already survived six heart failures.

The whole thing was quite horrific, I'm glad the wee girl survived but I feel it was wrong for the other to die, obviously she had no lungs, heart etc.. but it just seemed wrong to me. I realise though that they had no choice in the matter.

i missed it but there was a similar case in america. they are identical twins who share a body but they have no problems and do not need to be seperated. they have their own minds and are like two different people.

I seriously doubt that there would be a similar case - each one is unique.

I find it baffling how anyone can argue for the existence of God in the light of these sad cases. Of course Martin Luther said 'Faith should trample over all reason, sense and understanding.'

I'm not sure I totally agree with you, but it does make it kind of confusing when we were made in his image, right enough!

Couldn't agree more Rheghead

Religious folks are fond of saying that God doesn't give us more than we can handle.... I wonder how that works in this case?:confused
