Can anyone tell me the latest on the roadworks and if there are any delays? Will be travelling north on a Sunday but south on a Thursday so might need to adjust travelling times.Any information much appreciated

I left wick at 6am today and the road was very busy to inverness. at 830 there was a que before we even got on the Kessock Bridge but this is a bad time to travel 9the rush hour0. Had 11 traffic lights to pass and one convoy to go with at roadworks.
roadworks at wick, just after wick, near Latheron, helmsdale, the mound, near dornoch.....are just a few. Left inverness at 2pm quite busy to dornoch then not too bad the rest of the way to wick. Many, many lorries on both trips, why is this, are they not using the freight train.
