I was always under the impression that an admission of guilt and conveying feelings of remorse were the first steps to having a sentence reduced. It appears that this is not the case with celebrity sentences.[evil]

I agree.
This guy has some neck.
What ever happened to 'shame',
let alone, contrition.

There should be no leniency for the people found guilty of commiting the disgusting crime of viewing child pornography. They are just as guilty of abuse by creating a demand for this disgusting media. In this case looking is just as bad as actually perptrating the offence themselves IMHO.

I think this story is far more disturbing:-

I agree with Scorrie on this one. I was really saddened to hear this today, even though it was obvious that the poor lass was dead. Just how did her body end up 500 miles away in Kent? Did her abductor keep her alive for some length of time, or transport her dead body when he moved house?

I am 100% with you all one this one. The guy downloaded and watched a film featuring the graphic abuse of an eight year old girl.

This was no 'research' for a part he was playing, and if it was it was method acting.

We might not be able to eradicate the evil that is child abuse in our world, but we can make sure a message is sent to those involved.

Unfortunately, this leniency indicates the punishment is minimal for accessing this kind of material. Hardly much of a deterrent.

Of course this paedophile will not be assuming anonymity and moving in at the end of our streets. That is something to be thankful for, and may have been part of the reason his appeal was successful.

I don't think he has a bright future in acting, thank god.

This justice system stinks.

In my opinion anyone who commits any crime on children should be strung up by the short and curlies. I cannot say what I would really like to do to them as I would get banned! I just cannot get it into my head why any male/female would want to sexually abuse kids. The downloading of child pornography is as bad as abusing a child yourself. I cannot imagine what these poor little souls have gone through and they are the ones who have to live with it for the rest of their lives. It's the same for all crime though the victims are left with the life sentence while the criminals do a bit of time inside, community service or get a measly fine. Prison is too good for these beasts.
