Whoor of a picture of loyal and hope in the signature - do you have the original??
@ buggyracer
All of those shots were done with a Canon 20d and a Canon 75-300 DO IS USM zoom.
@ Julia
Yep, it seemed they were my friends, VERY shy ones though... you get only a couple of pics and then they say Byebye....
@ cullbucket
Yes I have got the original slumbering somewhere on one of my drives.

Ahh, Raven, what can I say, your photo's, like lots of others on here make me dribble with envy. I think I need to get out there and take a few shots. Right then, I'm off!

i use a 400d just getting to grips with it, do you use photoshop much as your colours are very vivid?

My cam has some built in parameters wher I can set sharpness, contrast, saturation and color tune. Just checked this on on the 400d, but it does not seem to have it.
However, I feel that most of the pics need post processing in PS. :D

Raven, that is a good site. Just had a scoot round and found lots of good images. I like the photo 105 in people of the chap with an orange hat and braces on his teeth - but I can't help wondering if the photos numbers won't remain the same as new ones are added. I am going to look at the techniques section a bit more.
I can also reccommend pbase at http://www.pbase.com/sleeper55/closeups&page=3. This is one of my favourite pages. There is a huge variety of photo types here.

I have seen deer just above the Bettyhill houses quite a few times, just towering above on the rocks....

Hello Raven, Yup, deer think that cameras are deer food. The deer were'nt there so i was trying to take a boring shot accross the caravan park. The first thing I knew was when something shoved my arm while I was composing the picture and the deer deceided that cameras were food:lol:. I have no idea where she was hiding - or maybe it was just good camouflage.
They are very tame and easy to photograph - just keeping them at arms length is difficult.
I found those while trying to tidy up my drives...

Those were shot with the Canon 75-300 DO IS USM, but I am looking for an upgrade at the moment, something longer would be just nice:D.
I think a good shop for getting stuff is http://www.warehouseexpress.com/ or I just shop arround on Ebay;)

Some lovely shots there Martina! You did well getting that close with the 300mm. Even with the 1.6x crop factor that is close up! The DO often gets ignored, but I think you have shown that they can work jolly effectively.

Can any one tell me why the stags just stand there and gawp at you whilst the females are very nervous?

Light was going fast but they looked great against the skyline.
