We've all heard of those space missions that carry items from Earth to outer space (in case of meeting little green men) but how about a Caithness space mission?? What would we put on it to represent our corner of the planet?

My vote:

Bit of old red sandstone / Caithness flagstone
Caithness dialect dictionary (on CD, so they can hear our dulcet tones)
Bag of gundy

Any suggestions??

Salt Herring !

You beat me to it, in the dead of space, it will be preserved for eternity!:D

And.......it would save NASA some cash on making a silver spacesuit! ;)

A bottle of the clean air.
A bag full of the humour.
A sack full of The Caithness breeze.
A wedge of Caithness cheese.
A case full of the kindness of the folk.a tin full of their warmth.
But NO whisky or Pultney Liqueur..it's far to good to be shared with little green men!

Our county in space?
We have lots of that,
We excel in grace,
Our peace is off pat.

The horrors of war,
To us are in-bred,
For peace we will roar,
Let's send 'em fred!
