How come when you edit a message you have already written you don't get the smiley panel. And if you ad the characters that make up a smiley it does not show as a smiley. Just curious?

Once you've clicked "Edit" then click "Go Advanced" and you should have the full editing box, provided you have it selected in your UserCP for normal posting.
