It's that time of year again when I start my project.

This time I'm doing it all alone.

I've to make an evacuation simulator of Glasgow city centre.

It's seem pretty interesting and I may even be collaborating with Strathclyde Police.

But...

I need to find a map of Glasgow city centre which is off sufficient detail as to show the buildings.

Obvious solution is rip a map from Google Maps / Earth but they're too cluttered and I would much prefer something like an OS Siteplan.

Any idea's where to look - bearing in mind this is a student project so buying a map is pretty much out of the question.

An example of what I'm looking for: http://www.elycarpark.org/assets/images/OS_003.jpg

Thanks.

I'm in Glasgow.

But actually, Glasgow Uni library might be a good shout.

Thanks.

I would try and get whatever the map system it is that the emergency planners have available to them so that you would be conducting the 'experiment' in a controlled manner.

If you have to plan for the fire/police/ambulance crews then find out they have got as maps. They may not have very much - then you can make reccomendations based on reality, not the ideal situation.

This advice is a bitdry, but I hope it helps.
