WW1 Ducksie

Can anyone fill me in on the events of the Siege of Ducksie (Grant Street)?
I have searched the site and the web but can find no ref. to it.

Mary Helen I thought this was on line - but I cant find it either.
I read it years ago......Hope I remember correctly...

A young soldier was on leave from the War in France and the poor man was too scared to go back.
He barricaded himself into the attic of his little house ( I think he had a gun)
Then the police arrived but could not persuade him to come out. There were lots of locals standing around shouting.
Eventually he was smoked out and taken away by the Police - I suppose he was sent back to France.... I've no idea of his name or what happened to him.... Poor soul !
I hope to trace a copy of this for you - give me some time and I'll let you know.
