Went in to book an appointment for a check up for myself and children, i was told Mr Erridge is now private and I would have to pay a yearly fee for myself and the kids as well as a the fee for check up. What ever next.

I think having to pay a yearly fee just so you can stay registered to the dentist is day light robbery but with the lack of dentists and poor nhs funding to get dental treatment on the nhs there is not a great deal you can do about it except brush your teeth regular to reduce visits to the dentist

You can still get free NHS treatment for your kids through the school dentist.
My son goes there since Dr Andrews retired, and has had no problems.
