Noticed my Wednesday morning Tesco groceries delivery charge has gone up from £3.99 to £4.50.

They always advertise these price changes when they go down but not when they go up!

Yeah my usual slot has gone up too! :(
I've stopped using it as the amount of times I get substitutes on offers:mad:

Call me cynical, but it wouldnt have anything to do with Somerfields delivery service closing on Friday? Or is it just coincidence?

I noticed this too - was most unimpressed. I will still use the service as its really good and the delivery chaps are brilliant. Friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Co-op - free!

Do co-op deliver to Reay?

Bill Fernie

Remember that with the Co-op you have to go in and pick the items yourself whereas Tesco has people in the store who do that for you. Co-op does not have online ordering available. If you live out at Reay for example you would still need to make the trip into the store. Therefor it is more likely to be used by folk who do not have their own transport or cannot lift heavier items like potatoes etc.

The price comparison is not like with like as far as the Co-op is concerned.

The Thurso Co-op will accept telephone orders and deliver to Castletown, Halkirk and as far west as Bettyhill, delivery charge FREE

For the time it takes to gather the order and deliver it plus the cost of petrol, I think 5 - 6 pounds is a super deal.

Erm as we are turning into Tesco County..we currently have no option but to either pay the charge or pay the petrol. So what is the ASDA situation at the moment.?....never been in an ASDA but my mum tells me its a great place to shop.
