This brings back memories. I used to breed and show Blanc de Bouscat and Chinchilla rabbits. I do miss all the buzz of getting ready for the shows.

Good luck to eveyone.

Well we are looking for the old time breeders to come back in and we will do what we can to source good stock for people. I have never seen a Blanc de Bouscat on the show circuit anywhere in Scotland, what a fabulous looking rabbit. The wife keeps chinchilla's, Lovely rabbits.

I am giving my age away now, but my rabbit days was in the seventies, and there were a few Blanc de Bouscat, though admittedly not a lot, on the Scottish circuit at that time. There was a couple of breeders in Glasgow and I was in Cumbernauld.

I am not quite up to starting again at the moment, but I certainly might consider it in the future.

The links show some lovely rabbits.

On behalf of the Caithness Rabbit Fanciers’ Association I would firstly like to say Thank you very much to all the members of the public who supported our show on Saturday 24th November, without their continued support we could not have such a great day. We had a fantastic turn out again and doubled our entries from our April show. The quality of rabbits and cavies on show was a credit to Caithness. Our Judge Kenny Brownlee travelled over with his lovely wife from Northern Ireland for the show and was very impressed with the quality of all exhibits. I would like to say a huge thank you to Mr and Mrs Brownlee for supporting us. I would also like to thank our sponsors, jadcom uk for our trophies and rosettes and Harrolds the Butchers in Wick for our best in show trophy on the day. I have a huge thank you for our helpers on the day and before and after the event who have all worked tirelessly and selflessly to make this event the huge success that it was, without you all we could not continue as a club it is appreciated more than you could all know. I also apologise for the cavy-judging seminar having to be cancelled due to illness. I would also like to let everyone know that our next show will be held on Saturday 12th April in Staxigoe hall by Wick. Our Judge for the day will the highly esteemed Mr P.W. Hughes AKA The Welsh Gypsy. He will be coming from Wales to Judge for us. He is a 2* British rabbit council judge, he has 3 more open shows to judge before he goes on the senior panel thus enabling to judge at any level, he is also on the national chinchilla panel, northern silver fox, national otter rex, northern satin and national Siberian and by 2008 should be on 6 more specialist judging panels. We hope to be holding some fundraising activities over the coming months, so watch this space for news.
Thanks again to everyone.
