how long should an 80 year old wait for an x ray,
my father in law fell on saturday night and hurt his leg (this is the second time he has fallen that week and the leg concerned is a bit dodgy due to a previous hip replacement), we got him into bed and he said he would call the doctor on monday to come and see him.
doc was too busy on monday so he came out on tuesday, doc decided to get father in law an xray which he thought would be arranged for on wed or thursday to allow the xray dept and ambulance to coordinate. this was put out to friday at 11.30, so today came and I phoned at 3 to check how he was to be told by motherinlaw that no one had been, we phoned to be told that ambulances were busy and that fatherinlaw would have to now wait to Tuesday at 1130
So it will be 10 ten days since he fell until he is xrayed IF the ambulances are not too busy
think I'll put wheels on his bed and take him to the hospital myself
