Oil Watchman

Just turned on the oil watchman to check the level in the kerosene tank as the time is coming to turn the heating back on. However, the display is showing a flashing c shape. Do any of you know what this read out means. Thanks

No, but I guess it would be easier to unscrew the filling cap from tank and have a look, that way you can't go wrong. Thats what I do with mine as a double check.

C means it is checking for a reading from the tank. Usually takes a while to pick up a reading. Hopefully the battery on the tank is OK.

Never occurred to me to turn my Watchman off. Why not just leave it on? Don't suppose it uses much power.

I am not sure, but I think that is what our one showed when it had stopped working. We had it replaced. As the others we have our one on the whole time.
