I came across this band in usenet group alt.binaries.sounds.lossless a while back and have put the odd track on now and again. They were quite striking the first time I heard them and on another re-listen they are really growing on me in a big way. Felt I'd pass on the tip in case they might be something that others here might enjoy.

The band is called 'October Project' and almost nobody seems to have ever heard of them. I figure that there are a few Caithness folk ('folk' being an important word) who would probably really enjoy this band. I would say they have a rather celtic, gothic feel to them with a modern flavour. A bit like 'All about Eve' crossed with Enya.

There's a young friend of mine who I just know is going to fall in love with the lead vocalist when he claps eyes on the videos (although he'll probably get into trouble!).

My personal favourite track is Ariel, although the video for that on youtube is 'homemade'.

Youtube is on a bit of a go-slow at the moment and you won't get the full feel if it keeps stopping and starting so worth letting a good half or more of the song load before listening.
