Can anyone explain (slowly) how to multiquote?

I see the button, press it and nothing happens:eek:!!

Let's say you wish to quote three posts. Click multi-quote on the first 2, then click quote on the third.

Voila!

...and then you edit out the parts you don't want to quote, I suppose?
