Fireworks

Does anyone know where the fireworks were going off for quite a while tonight?. It sounded like they were coming from the airport direction and not Ackergill Tower. :D

well i heard them to then saw 2 big coach loads of people heading back from Noss head so i think it was there, this was about 10.45pm

Are fireworks used all year round in Caithness and Sutherland? Also is it common to have fireworks at both 5th November and New Years Eve?

I currently have a part-time business selling high quality fireworks and firing professional displays and already fire a dozen or so displays per year around Inverness.

Once we've moved to Thurso it will be easier to get to Inverness but I'll also be able to offer professional displays in Caithness and Sutherland without having to charge a prohibitive travel fee. :D

Would any firework enthusiasts out there prefer to buy from a specialist rather than supermarket/newsagent, especially if the price is the same and quality much higher?

sorry to say man but u cannot offer fireworks so much better than say the coop for the same price u might have alot better kit and bigger bangs but u aint gonna sell high proformace fireworcs say 12 for £4.99 the coop does right enough they aint the best but they get the party started :P

It was the clan sinclair, they put them off at Sinclair and Girnigoe castle.

I was up at Noss Head to see them what a fantastic display it was, with the pipers playing as the fireworks went off :D
