Does anybody know somebody who teaches or could teach ballroom dancing for fun. My daughter and I would love a chance to learn a few moves.

You and your daughter
All twirling in gowns
All covered in smiles
No gurning or frowns
A samba, a salsa
By daughter and mother
There's not many blokes
You must dance with each other

A quickstep, a foxtrot
A rhumba my goodness
Some dances quite boring
Some hint at some rudeness
Both you and your lassie
Dance champion ones
In Caithness now famous
The ball-dancing Gunns

Tubthumper's the lad
If you need a poem
Whatever the content
Just ask and he can do 'em

His rhythm's not bad
For drumming or rhymes
But dancing - no sir!
(Not his favourite fun times)

A challenge now set
Can he keep it up?
What's the answer to be
Who'll win the rhyme cup?

Your challenge is accepted
The gauntlet is thrown down
A rhyming competition
But what will be the crown?
And who will be the judge of what
Revolves round personal taste
This really is the toughest challenge
I have ever faced

So how d'you want to play it?
Maybe someone sets a task
We both set out against the clock
And rhyme on what is asked
Or someone sets a poll up and
The public gets to vote
The winner of the contest gets
A crispy five-pound note?

I'm waiting for your answer
The glove's slapped off my cheek
Poetic duel is interesting
In Thirsa or in Week
I've got my language muscles pumped
And so have you nae doot
I'm looking forward to this test
Your tea is really oot!
