The rain today has been torrential. Feel sorry for anyone who has been affected by flooding.

Horrible story in the scotsman today about the two visitors drowned off
Point of Stoer.
I can easily understand the desire to get close to a wild sea and to photograph it,....I am always getting dragged away from dangerous cliff edges.

So sad.:(

Looks like we've got off quite lightly again here. I think we must be due for quite some rain in the not too distant future :(

weird that, I keep getting pushed towards them...

wonder if it's a personality thing :D

He gets about. The Hedges family were notorious in Wythenshawe c.1967. Cliff was bad but brother Bill was a lot worse. Wouldn't touch any of 'em with long stick!

As for 'North Sutherland' and floods. I have heard nothing this end.
That Point of Stoer - is it near Drumbeg? If so I know it. Wild when the weather is relatively benign.

I posted about Pennan, but nobody seemed mithered.

We hear the weather has been dreadful up there but the forecast is so Londoncentric I despair.

I 'm particularly in love with Tongue and hope all is okay up by the Kyle.

Sympathy to anyone affected. I'm glad I'm atop an'ill.

Hi Percy,

The Benson brothers met up with the Hedges and a lot more killings took place!

Sorry to say it seems to be the Drumbeg area that's affected!:(

My pals in Strathy are ok, but the 'run off 'from the hills is quite something to see....they sent me a photo!

Hope Pennan gets lucky!

Hi stargazer,

Not my copyright I'm afraid.

I'm sure there are lots of photos and I reckon there will be many interesting ones posted here in the near future.

I do believe a large percentage of that water is currently residing here in my garden, and my neighbours!

Stay dry, WeeBurd, stay dry. I know that we Leos don't like water.

Hahaha, no fear Canuck, there's no real danger of the house flooding, but I have taken the precaution of moving our new bunny into the house as I felt so sorry for him sitting out in his hutch as the rain poured down. Spoilt? Of course!! [lol]
