I love this village, and I love the movie that was half shot there.

Well accustomed to batterings from the sea, it's now threatened by mudslides.

I still own my copy of the movie when it first came out on DVD, sitting right in front of me. One of the best movies ever behind Restless Natives!!

The beach was just outside Arisaig. The hotel and the famouse red phone box are at Pennan. :)

The beach scenes were shot at Camussdarach (hope I've spelt that correctly) which is about three miles north west of Arisaig off the old coast road to Morar, and Mallaig.

How are the Braes at Scrabster holding up in this weather, they are similar to those in Pennan, would not like to see any of my old haunts being pushed into the harbour, or the houses at Miller Place losing more of their back gardens:(
