Evening Guys,

A slow Saturday night with few posts , so asking for fun....

What personality traits do you have that you dislike ?

I am a bit of a guilt fiend and don't forgive myself readily.

....over to you!:D

Karia

I don't like the way I can spot the splinter in my brothers (or sisters) eye but don't notice the log in my own.
BTW.
There's a theory that guilt is nothing mote than repressed resentment.
See what I mean?

I worry all the time and if I have nothing to worry about I worry about that.
If I dont feel well or get a pain I always think the worst.

I don't dislike anything about my personality, if I did I'd do my best to change it.

I do consider myself far too serious for anybody's good at times, but then, I don't include myself in that.

Hehe, Karia - you're asking for just ONE trait??

Ooh, what one do I choose from??

I think the trait I most dislike about myself is the fact that it's only a good idea if I thought of it first....

Hubby will often throw an idea out, only to have me shout him down.... then I think on it for a while, twist it around a bit & voila! A whole new idea thought up by me! (and heaven help those who disagree with me!)

I should learn to listen more & be more accepting to other peoples thoughts & feelings.

Honest enough?
Julie.

Hi newpark,

I used to be like that, honestly I did!

However despite the odds I continue to be in rude ill health:D

Life's a lottery, no point wasting it worrying!.....
...easy to say, not so easy to do!

Another thing I don't like about me.....I'm impatient!

I may not want it all,

But I do want it now,

maybe sooner!

Dear karia....you want everything now?...such a realist! I've always wanted it at least yesterday[evil]! (such slow French waiters tonight!!)!

Also when I get interested or preoccupied with ANYTHING it becomes an obsession, I can't let it go, and the normal, everyday demands of life can suffer. However, the older I get, the less important the everyday seems...;)

You've hit the nail on the head karia ! I think these traits are quite common to us ladies. I'm also "guilty" of tending everyone else's needs/problems and forgetting about "the wind beneath my wings" - my long suffering hubby, who , poor soul gets left to sort himself out for the best part ! He IS wonderful......but don't say I said so - it's not good for my image....[lol]

Now where to begin...???

I'm obsessive about things that interest me, lazy about things that don't...impatient, but at the same time a terrible procrastinator myself...a typical Libran! (So that's all right then, none of it's my fault [lol]...)

I've got past the age where I needed to have the last word though! ;)

Skitzofrenic son, dippy daughter, fantistic wife sooo understanding and forgiving, plus special needs foster kids-teenagers, no time for individulism, unless specialising in 'looney'guess I could go for gold in that one.:D

Evening horseman,

So, let me see, patience, kindness and an eclectic outlook are your 'positive' traits ,...don't see no 'negatives' yet,....though if my Da called me dippy!......

...I'd forgive him!;)

Saying sorry for everything, even when it's not my fault... :(

Goes without saying, I'm also a guilt-fiend, and worry-wart!

Oh, and according to hubby, being too talkative to quiet people. He says I intimidate them - I thought I was just being a friendly person, now I'm paranoid!

My hubby & I are both Librians, however altho he can't make his mind up to save his life, I'm the exception that proves the rule! It's YES or NO with me - no grey areas.......
I'm the 5th & hubby 10th........

I'm awful at makeing decisions too.

I'm also bad at arguing my point as half way through I tend to swap sides which is why I tend to duck out on the org quite a bit!! hahaha!

I'm too critical of people - and most of all, of myself! It's too easy for me to focus on the negative instead of looking for the silver lining.

Also, I have a terrible case of "foot-in-mouth", where I speak BEFORE I think, instead of the other way around!!

OK here goes, the personality trait I hate the most about myself.

My inability to let people down or upset anyone, to the point of ending up extremely miserable at times. If I upset someone I end up ridden with guilt. I'd love lessons in how to be a complete ..... without worrying.

Why do some people sail through life trampling all over others and not seem to have a care in the world?:(

07-Aug-07, 11:51
People say that i can be too quiet at times, therefore there must be something wrong with me or if i dont have a constant smile on my face im dure! :( cant please everyone lol

although i would say i worry what other people think alot of the time whilst giving out advice that i never follow myslef lol :P

IMHO my worst habit is, in some peoples eyes, also my best and that is trying to be a perfectionist in pretty much everything I do!

Mrs Bob might say different however !

I have "foot in mouth" far more often than not.
Never finish what I start,
Never seem to have time for everyone,
No patience,but trying really hard......
Want tomorrow today.
Too critical of others and myself
Expectations of others too high.

I'm going to stop,its making me depressed.

Seemingly my worst trait is always seeing the nice in people even when its not there! I hate saying negative things about people even when they have done or said something to deserve it.I am also one of those people who say yes to things rather than say no and risk offending someone [para]
