Advise about cat litter please

My cat has always used a litter tray and i am wondering how do i get her out of it and to go outside to do her business?

Without her using the carpets for the toilet :eek:

She is 2years old

Take away the tray. Let her out. If you've had her since she was a kitten you should have taken it away a long time ago. I got a 6 month old kitten, kept her in a few weeks with a tray til she was used to the surroundings, let her out and took tray away a few days later. Been no bother since. Females are usually cleaner than the toms anyway. Take tray away and let her come and go as she pleases should be ok. MAYBE!!!!!!

depending on whether the tray is close to the door.If it is not then i would move the tray closer to the door and then out on tothe step...After a few days she should go out to it..Or you could try fitting a cat flap.Put her through it a few times and she should get the message...Ours still use the tray at night but out during the day....
