we were speaking to a very nice lady from Norway at Harrow harbour who had travelled over from Lillihammer via the ferry from Bergen. She had links with Caithness on her husband side and had lived over here for a time. She said that the ferry took 16 hours but had a fine crossing.

we went to Norway for our honeymoon and would recommend it - although we flew from Heathrow and this is great, no travelling down to London, just get on the ferry at Scrabster, have your tea, few drinks and sleep then wake up and in the land of smoked fish and the midnight sun. (although the alcohol is quite expensive, boo)

great idea those ferry types.
