Trying to source a 15w soldering iron for a pcb on a cooker hood, has anyone got one i could buy or borrow from as i cant find anywhere that sells them. Ive tried macleans, cef, homebase, shearers with no joy. Only got 6 little wires to do and if ya want ye can come round and solder them in as it'll take 15mins to do

cheers

I know that Wick High School have a few. Not sure it would look too correct if you phoned up the school asking to borrow a soldering iron though! :Razz

cheers for the pm's and posts folks, managed to get one, jobs done and fans and light are working sweet on the cooker hood, in fact i even showed off because you could now use the circuit board as a coat hanger as well with the blobs of solder hanging from it....[lol]

Not bad for a first attempt though :D
