Can anyone tell me how to tune my Freeview box into my TV so I can record from it?

I think you need a scart to scart lead.

I have it connected via a scart lead but this just lets me view it through Ext1 on my TV but I need it tuned into a channel on the TV to record.
I had a box tuned into Channel 5 but I got a new box and don't know how to do it!

You're better off with a SCART lead but it's not essential.

You can usually select which UHF channel your Freeview box uses, mine defaults to 38. Just tune one of your TV channels into this and record as normal.

edit: Liz, have you tried re-tuning your channel 5?

I don't know how to 'retune Channel 5' :roll:

I watch it through the Scart as it is a much better picture but for recording it is connected by RF cable.

Do u not put your video to AV channel and record from there!!

I'm not sure really, my kids have 1 but they have a telly video so it tapes automatically (I think) :)

Well I got Freeview on Channel 5 on the TV but now I can't get it on the VCR!!!!
Also when the VCR is on there is nothing on Channel 5 on the TV!!!
All the connections are correct and I've done an Auto Set Up on my VCR but this just brings up Channels 1,2,3 and 4.

Can anyone help. This is doing my head in!!!! :(
