or failing that, on here.

It was 1 deg C and with the wind blowing, felt like -10 C. No prizes, but where was I? Whether you care or not.....

S'pose I should blot out the lat / long, really, but what the hell.....

Mode of transport clue (but this was a different pass, about 600 ft lower):

Although checking your coordinates, it puts you in a national park !

Hope you had a good trip.

Col La Bonnette.... the highest road in Europe....

Good call, Torvaig. Col de la Bonnette it is. The other one (with the bike) is the top of the Passo Gavrio, Italy, at a measly 8612 feet.

Hon. mention for Jeemag who was a few miles out to the west.

Anyone recognise this horror? The way up (from 2/3 up it):

and the first third or so of the way back down the other side..... 9025 of your Breeteesh feet at the summit. The microscopic dots are the sportsbike nutters who love hooning up and down this place. Very cool to make showers of sparks from your titanium-plugged knee sliders. If you like that sort of thing.........

This has to be the most ideal place in the world for a fish box cartie!!! I'd even go for it now if they would let me do it. I'd need a stout pair o tackety boots for brakes though. What a dream that woudl be, anybody got a spare set o pram wheels [lol]
