Mary Ann Davidson married Alexander Mcleod on 1/6/1914. Alexander was a rope and sailmaker.
Their home was in 21 Grant Street, Wick as recorded on marriage certificate.

Alexander is my GreatGrandfather from his first marriage. Can anyone help me find out more about my family history? I can trace it back so far to an 1858 marriage.

Would love to hear from other family members.

Hi Mary Helen,

I have Davidsons in my tree which MAY be related to yours.

Alexanderina Davidson b.1861 Wick m. Benjamin Stark b.1856.
Her parents were
David Davidson b.1821 Wick & Jane Bremner b.1828
His parents were William Davidson C1785 & Christian Mullikin c1785

Does this help?,

I think Mary Ann Davidson had a little shop in Grant Street -
I may even have a photo of it.
I also have a picture of me as a little girl wearing a dress bought from there !
If you PM me with your address I will be able to send it to you.

Thanks Val and Trinkie for your responses.
Val, my Mary Anne has David Davidson and Mary Ann Sutherland as her parents.
So unfortunately there is no connection.
Thanks for your help.
