Tonight’s episode of Scotland from the Sky on BBC Scotland featured two stories about Wick. One was the construction of a decoy Wick Airport at Sarclet during the Second World War. The other was about a Spitfire pilot who took off from Wick and photographed the German battleship Bismarck in Norway, following which the latter was attacked and sunk. There was also aerial footage of bomb storage facilities near Wick.
It was all stirring stuff. :)
