This is a council led initiative which in my experience is a wonderful idea on paper and a disaster in it's reality like a lot of their other initiatives. Has ANYONE been able to use it?

Remember the "award winning" Caithness Heating and Power and the council that rebuilt their offices in the town centre - and then had to repair the new building.

Anyone know what the award was for CHaP's? Was it an award for blue-sky thinking?

Maybe the Post Office have set up some wifi jammers to stop wifi users using online services?

What was the eventual fate of Caithness Heat and Power? There was a lot of noise, both encouraging and discouraging. Now nothing. What happened in the end?

The council bought out the remaining stakeholders for £1, then tried to sell it with all sorts of conditions to iGNIS (?) who refused given the nature of the conditions. They sold it at auction to ... ... iGNIS who are now running it profitably. Now that it is out of council hands all the drama (and publicity?) has evaporated.

So it had a happy ending after all. Good. :)
