Hello everyone. Caithness Beach Cleans has just reached the 5 UK (long) Tons mark!
This has been achieved by ordinary people, dog walkers, beach walkers, etc., just going for a walk and picking up plastic as they go. The plastic is then weighed and a photo taken and uploaded to Caithness Beach Cleans on FaceBook. Every weight is added to the total.
We don't normally organise a beach clean, but on the occasion it is necessary, it will come under the banner of the Caithness and Sutherland Rangers.
We only started this on 3rd of March this year and it has taken off. The last ton happened in just one month!
