.....on why continuing aid to Africa is strangling the country and keeping it in poverty and deprivation. It supports the view that "foreign aid is the transfer of money from the poorest people in the wealthy nations to the richest people in the poorest nations".
I don't think anyone doubts the honest intention in what Bob Geldof does but........ what's killing Africa is the CAP and European farming policy, and the idea that Africa should be "green" - after all, it has sun, so shouldn't they use solar cells? Answer, no. You can't power industry and infrastructure off 12v DC. There's a lesson there for the Greens and renewables enthusiasts here, too.
