The 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations training course is primarily aimed at practicing electricians with relevant experience, domestic electrical installers and other allied professionals. For example, electrical engineers, contracts managers, designers, consultants, surveyors, and other related trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IEE Wiring.

We propose to deliver a City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations Course on Tuesday, 12 February – Friday 15, February 2019.

There are eight main learning outcomes delivered in this course:


Understanding the scope, object and fundamental principles of BS7671
Understanding the definitions used within the BS7671
Understanding how to assess the general characteristics of electrical installations
Understanding requirements of protection for safety for electrical installations
Understanding the requirements for selection and erection of equipment for electrical installations
Understanding the requirements of the inspection and testing for electrical installations
Understanding the requirements of special installations or locations as identified in BS
Understanding the requirements for selection and erection of equipment for electrical installations


The course is classroom based and finishes with a multiple choice, open book online exam. There are no practical elements to the course.
