Galway Bay again...

Oh I see that I missed out on some good fun
Putting wordies to the tune of Galway Bay
But I hope I’m not too late to try my hand
And add a verse or two and have my say.

I’ve not been on the Org for ‘bout a fortnight
From Hill of Forss I’ve been so far away
But I’m home again and happy here in Caithness
And looking out o’er bonnie Thurso Bay.

Oh welcome back, young LavenderBlue
It's been too long since we heard from you
You've spent just a couple of weeks far away
But now you are back within sight of a bay

So sing a song of nautical praise
For all the beautiful Caithness bays
Where we have spent such wonderful days
Especially May with a lovely heat-haze

To say we have missed her is only too true
The place seems so quiet, without much to do
We wondered where gone, we just hadn't a clue
We were mis'rable, yes, we were Lavender Blue

So sing a song of perfumed praise
She left, the shock left us all in a daze
But she has come back, it was only a phase
As many go through, part of her teenage ways

So happy now are the Lit-posting crew
For a while we were lost, in a terrible stew
The future seemed bleak, we din't know what to do
And poems 'bout bays on the network we'd brew

So sing a song 'bout a caithness-org craze
Cos on the Lit forum there started a blaze
Of tunes to the glory, now Lavender says
She's joining right in with some stuff about bays!

As you’re looking out on bonnie Thurso Bay,
I feel there’s only one thing I must say –
That we missed you and your lovely Caithness wordies
So let’s have more – don’t waste another day !

For we missed you and your tales from Forss Hill
The wind that blew and knocked your garden down
And the rain that poured and poured for days on end
Fair drove our Forss Hill Poet underground.

But now the sun is shining in the sky
The Lit page it has brightened up as well
For there’s people here that’s singing in their bathtubs
So come on in and join them – what the hell !!
