A while ago I was in a Tesco supermarket in the Central Belt and noticed some "Caithness Biscuits"

on a shelf. I wondered what other Caithness brands supply to supermarkets in the Central Belt. Since then I have noticed:

Reids shortbread:

They have a list of retail outlets that they supply to:

RockRose Gin:

Can be bought as Sainsburys etc.

Old Pultney whisky:

Can easily be bought at Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco etc.

With Christmas fast approaching, I would like to know what other quality Caithness food and drink brands, I could buy in shops down here which I could give as Christmas presents. This would in some small way help the Caithness economy, more so if other exiles did the same. Can anyone tell me what other Caithness food and drink brands can easily be bought in shops in the Central Belt.

Hope you can source more Caithness goodies!! My Aunt buys Caithness oatcakes in Canada...

That's helpful, ecb, thanks. I was home in Thurso recently and went south laden like a pack-mule: people ask if I can bring them oatcakes, shortbread, pickles, jam, it would save my aching shoulders if I could find some of it down here!

Another one Seaweed chips, the seaweed is hand-harvested in a sustainable way and dried in Caithness:

I have bought a packet of the lightly salted seaweed chips from my local Sainsburys, but haven't tried them yet.

A wider range of their products is on their website:
