Numbers of posts

Is it just today something magic has happened, and we can now see how many posts we've made? :confused

I'd really no idea how many I'd posted, it's quite alarming really -certainly far more than I've posted to any other forum! [lol]

Is anybody else a bit shocked to see how many times they've posted?

The post count feature was disabled sometime ago - "Admin" have obviously turned it back on.

Exactly why it should have been kept off, everyone will race posting anything and everythng to hit their mark, I thought it was a good idea to have it not showing.

It can easily be switched off again if people start spam posting in order to reach a specific target.

Quality over quantity every time surely.
If anyone starts to increase their message tally merely to build up a total then they must lead rather empty lives.
It is surprising just how quickly ones amounts build up though, over time.
Hot air and wind mostly but it passes the time for me and is better than watchin' soaps on t'telly

Last week the mumber of posts we had each made began appearing on screen.
It's still there but as far as I can see our nunbers have been static since
at least the 29th.

Have we all been frozen in time?;)

They have not been static at any time, not that I have noticed anyway. There is another thread open on the post count theme also http://forum.caithness.org/showthread.php?t=26922

When you say 'our', how many peoples have you been looking at? Don't think it would happen to only some poeple and not others.

Karia, my count went backwards for a while...eventually I worked out that was because I'd posted in a thread which was later moved to jokes, so it didn't count any more....

I'm trying to post a bit less often, because I was so surprised (shocked, even) to see how much I had posted in the six months I've been here.:eek:

But I can see the number is inexorably creeping up again....:roll:
