I would rather meet a brown bear than a polar bear any day. The polar bear is the only large animal on earth that regards humans as food. Not "I'll have a nibble at that and see if it's edible" (white shark) or "I'm old and can't catch a deer any more, perhaps I'll try those two-legged things" (tiger). As far as the polar bear is concerned anything that moves must be lunch.

Under their fur, polar bears are actually black all over.
